"I've been living in Houston for the last 14 months. It's a city which defies preconceptions and stereotypes. Firstly, I felt totally at home here from day one. I suppose this is mainly because of the irrestistable warmth and friendliness of my fellow Houstonians. I have been consistently inspired by the city's energy, entrepreneurism, ambition and especially its lacks of cynicism. It is a city that makes you believe that if you inspire people, anything will happen.
It's also a city which provides a magnificently rich and varied quality of life with a cultural scene, a restaurant scene and retail opportunities that are all truly second to none.
If someone had asked me 10 years ago whether living in Houston was on my horizon, my answer would have been no. Now, one year after having moved here, there is nowhere I would rather be living."
