My perfect day in Houston: wake up and eat at the Breakfast Klub with my family, head over to one of the many play parks with my kids and wife, Christa, swing by the zoo, take an afternoon nap and then go to one of the many wonderful buildings/galleries at The Menil Collection. The babysitter arrives at 7 p.m. and Christa and I have a romantic date at T'afia and a yummy glass of wine at La Carafe.
My favorite places to shop: Midtown Farmers Market on Saturday morning, Central Market, Camera Co-op, PEEL Gallery Shop and the Apple Store.Houston's best kept secret? There are over 3,000 cultural arts event each year—many are free and child friendly. There is always something to do.
Houston is the best city in America and I am proud to live here and call it home.
