The diversity of Houston is truly amazing. What other city can boast everything from our world-class golf courses to world-renowned Medical Center ? There is just so much to see and do in Houston! Rodeo is indeed my favorite time of the year.
Houston is special to me because you can really live "the country life" anytime you want. It is a fallacy that Houston is not green. There are so many idyllic spots surrounding this city. As a horse owner, that’s important to me.
When someone visits from out of town, I always take them to Moody Gardens , the Museum District and because Houston is known as the Energy Capital, the new development, Discovery Green , across from the George R. Brown Convention Center. And, of course, our fabulous Galleria Mall (which is adjacent Hotel Derek)
Where are people most likely to find you in Houston?
On a 25-acre ranch in Hockley.
When describing Houston to friends that have never been here, what do you tell them?
Houston is big city life with a small town feeling!
Describe your perfect day in Houston.
A good cup of coffee in the morning followed by a day outside on the ranch with my animals.
What are your favorite places to eat? Shop?
The Ranchito in Waller & Carls BBQ.
What is Houston’s best kept secret?
Houston is much more cosmopolitan than most people think it is.
