If someone visits from out of town, they can't miss Goode Company BBQ for authentic Texas BBQ, Goode Company Seafood for mesquite grilled Texas seafood and Goode Company Hamburgers and Taqueria for breakfast on the weekends and Goode's Armadillo Palace for live Texas music 5 nights a week.
What surprises me about Houston? The continued growth and development of the city. Wow, it doesn't look like it's slowing down anytime soon either!
I am always amazed when visiting with other Houstonians whom I've never met and realizing we have mutual friends—typically no more than two degrees of separation. Even though Houston is the 4th largest city in America, you still get that small town feel with the friendliness and city pride of the folks that live here.
People are likely to find me somewhere around the Kirby Drive area where our restaurants are located.

I enjoy eating around town and trying anything that is new. My most frequent shopping place would probably be HEB Central Market. I enjoy the wide variety of ingredients they offer.
One of Houston's best kept secrets is the many different types of authentic cultural foods that Houston has to offer. With so many cultures represented in Houston, the city provides the opportunity and experience to get ideas from different parts of the world. This is a great resource for creativity when it comes to getting into the kitchen.
