Galleria/Uptown Things To Do

When you think of the Galleria/Uptown area, the first thing that comes to mind is: shopping. Between Texas’ largest mall, The Galleria and the open-air shopping districts Uptown Park and Highland Village, there are more than 700 retailers to shop at! Also, no trip to the Galleria area is complete without seeing the large Gerald D. Hines Water Wall located steps from The Galleria.

For nearly 50 years, The Galleria has been a luxury shopping destination for locals and visitors. With more than 300 stores ranging from high fashion like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Chanel, to affordable shops like H&M and Zara, The Galleria is Texas’ largest mall. In addition, the mall has a large food court, fine dining options, two connecting hotels, a large ice rink, beauty salons, and a post office. It definitely has it all!

For an upscale outdoor shopping experience, stroll around Uptown Park just north of The Galleria. Here you can shop at upscale boutiques or brand name stores like LUCHO Boutique, Elizabeth Anthony, M Penner, and dine al fresco at one of their many eateries. Surrounded by palm trees, Highland Village is an outdoor shopping and dining paradise with national stores like Banana Republic, Anthropologie, Sephora and the Apple store.

The Gerald D. Hines Water Wall Park is a must-visit when in the Galleria area. This multi-story fountain surrounded by live oak trees is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The Water Wall was constructed to stand 64 feet tall, to pay homage to the 64-story Williams Tower just steps away.
