Suitcase Project

The Suitcase Project is an outreach program sponsored by the Protocol Office, designed to acquaint Houston-area 5th and 6th grade students with the culture and history of the nations that have consular representation or a sister city relationship with the City of Houston. Each suitcase is packed with a compact collection of items that can be used to teach a geography or social studies lesson, many include toys, currency, newspapers, and instruments. The suitcases are available to Houston Independent School District teachers and administrators by contacting the Protocol office at 713-227-3395.
