Brunches

Conde Nast Traveler recently named Houston one of their favorite food cities! Check out some of Houston's best for one of the many Mother's Day brunches taking place across the city. Brennan's of Houston has become a Texas tradition over the years. Chef Danny Trace prepares a beautiful three-course prix-fixe meal for the occasion, complete with Cajun-inspired creations and his famous bananas foster. Another fun option is the Star Fleet Yachts Mother's Day Brunch, Lunch, & Dinner Cruise. Enjoy a leisurely cruise by the Kemah Boardwalk and Galveston Bay with endless drinks and a gourmet buffet.


Attractions
Looking for more than just the traditional brunch? Take mom and the kids to the Mother's Day Buffet at the Downtown Aquarium. The event also includes admission to the aquarium, exhibit feedings, live entertainment in the ballroom and plaza, and ride passes. The Museum of Fine Arts has a fun weekend planned for the occasion. Theater/Performing Arts 
Some of Houston's most prestigious performing arts organizations are closing off their regular seasons with acclaimed productions and performances! Take mom out to the Houston Grand Opera for Sweeney Todd this weekend. The Tony-award-winning Alley Theatre boasts some of the best regional theatre with its production of Tristan and Yseult. Theatre Under the Stars promises an exciting evening with their production of The Music ManThe Houston Symphony welcomes world-renowned violinist James Ehnes in Beethoven & Bartok.

Just remember, Mom cares less about gifts and more about the time you spend together. That doesn't mean you shouldn't spoil her this year!...No seriously, you better get her something nice or you'll never hear the end of it!
