10th Annual Houston Dragon Boat Festival

The Texas Dragon Boat Association has fulfilled its mission over the years by hosting dragon boating festivals during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, featuring local entertainers, food, and artisans.

Becoming an internationally popular sport, dragon boat racing has hit the waters of downtown Houston! At the Houston Dragon Boat Festival, teams of 25, including a steersman, a drummer, 20 paddlers, and 3 alternates, can enter this exciting competition, which involves 250-meter sprints in traditional Hong Kong-style dragon boats. Throughout the day's racing, a celebration of Asian culture takes place in Sugar Land with food, entertainment, and activities for the whole family.
