DEEP: Seaspace fuses history, dance, and music through the lens of two iconic Houston enterprises: The Houston Ship Channel and NASA. While Sea speaks to the pioneering spirit of the founding of Houston along the banks of Buffalo Bayou and the formation of the Houston Ship Channel, Space is inspired by Houston's stronghold in space exploration and human achievement.

Celebrating Houston's unique heritage and Texas' pioneer spirit, DEEP: Seaspace investigates the core of human progress and the desire to explore the mystery of the universe and forge a better tomorrow. Directed and choreographed by Karen Stokes, DEEP: Seaspace includes an original score by composer Bill Ryan. Karen Stokes Dance company members will perform to the score, played live by an all-star cast of musicians: Michael Lowenstern, Todd Meehan, Doug Perkins, and Todd Reynolds.
