The Supernova is Station Theater's signature improv form in which stories and discussion are molded and reshaped into original improvised content. The Supernova cast invites a special guest each week to tell true, personal stories in a one-on-one interview format. Guests vary week-to-week, ranging from traveling comedians, local celebrities, or even selected audience volunteers!

This month, we welcome special guest Anna Sankaran. She's a star in the courtroom and behind the mic - make sure to see her standup at this year's Trill Comedy Festival.Annapoorni (“Anna”) Sankaran is a commercial litigator with subspecialties in bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation. Anna represents institutional and individual clients in all stages of business disputes with an eye toward achieving creative business solutions. Anna has trial and appellate experience before federal and state courts across the United States. Anna also has notable experience advising clients on matters relating to issues arising under the anti-bribery and record-keeping provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Anna is a graduate of Boston University (1992) and Boston University School of Law (1995). She is a frequent speaker and commentator at diversity and legal seminars and was the first South Asian to serve as a director on the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors. Anna also served as President of the South Asian Bar Association, one of six national affinity bar organizations, and was named a 40-Under-40 Honoree by both the Houston Business Journal and the Boston Business Journal. In her free time, Anna enjoys traveling, running, performing stand-up comedy, mixed martial arts and watching reality television. Anna is also frequently asked to appear in selfies with strangers.
