The first of three Shu Uemura Art of Hair Sanctuary Salons in the U.S.—the other two are coming soon to Beverly Hills and NYC—Azur West has serious street cred when it comes to hair care.

The 2,000-square-foot space—set within River Oaks' West Ave.—features a one-of-a-kind color bar, contemporary black-and-white decor and The Sanctuary—a private treatment room dedicated to hair ceremonies. Seriously. Modeled after a Japanese tea ceremony, the sound-proof space boasts its own sound system, chair and washbowl, as well as stylists’ chair for a premium, positively-relaxing hair-cutting experience.

In addition to styling services, Azur West also stocks Shu Ueumura’s famed hair-care line. Parking tip: Valet is available or clients can self-park on the second floor of West Ave’s parking garage. Look for the entrance behind Eddie V’s or enter between Tootsie’s and Ava Kitchen & Whiskey Bar.
