Three and a half years after leaving his decade-long post as Tony's Executive Chef, Olivier Ciesielski returned to Houston's dining scene with a modern European venture, L'Olivier. Located in a renovated and re-imagined adult DVD store, the French bistro opened in April 2012, joining the ranks of other celebrated dining spots on Lower Westheimer.
The newly-constructed space—adorned in a palette of black, white and gray—sets the scene for reimagined French cuisine inspired by Chef Ciesielski’s native Burgundy. Drawing from his French roots, Chef Olivier merges classic French cuisine (think French onion soup, steak frites or beef burgundy) with flairs from other pallets of the world.
L’Olivier is open for dinner service Monday through Saturday evenings.
