It's rather grand, this two-story palace with a sweeping entrance overlooking the Hong Kong City Mall's lily pad pond with fountains. Inside, expect tidy banquet-style decor with oceans of chattering Chinese patrons and a handful of Caucasians attempting to dim sum or succumbing to the buffet.

Dim sum is served daily, but Sunday's is the big draw, with crème de la crème choices: peppered shrimp, roast duck, black bean clams, Chinese broccoli, steamed pork dumplings and custard tartlets. If you don't fancy the pace of dim sum or guessing and pointing from rolling carts, a comprehensive menu awaits. Standards like kung pao chicken, Szechuan shrimp and Singapore vermicelli satisfy, but the weekend dim sum experience is unmatched.
