The Tipping Point is Houston’s first and only lifestyle sneaker store located in Downtown on the ground floor of the Historic Humble Building. The store boasts an eclectic collection of limited-edition sneakers, books, art, apparel, music and accessories by brands like Nike, Puma, Vans and PF Flyers.

Inspired by Malcolm Gladwell's 2002 book, The Tipping Point’s namesake and philosophy embraces the concept that ideas can quickly spread by a select group of early adopters who take something unknown and make it a trend.

Since opening in 2007, the store's founders have continued their mission to expose new, innovative products and ideas, as well as to educate customers on the history of the products. The store often partners with local non-profit organizations and other small businesses, creating a springboard for creativity and innovation to flourish through a series of book signings, fund-raisers, product awareness campaigns, art exhibitions, movie screenings and music-listening parties.
