Located in the heart of Houston, the historic Cullen Performance Hall at the University of Houston is an important fixture in the community.
The Hall offers a 1,536 seating capacity theater space for music, opera, dance, theatrical events, and public lectures. The hall, comprising the eastern half of the E. Cullen Building, was named in honor of Ezekiel W. Cullen, a former congressman for the Republic of Texas. The Cullen Performance Hall opened in 1950, and the facility was designed by Alfred C. Finn.
