Fresh from London, Il Mascalzone has hopped the pond and opened a second Houston location. Created by former Italian Olympic boxer Andrea Magi’s, the restaurant touts homemade pizzas and pastas, prepared using premium and (mostly) organic ingredients.
Like Houston’s first location, the Shepherd outpost features a (rare) space age MaranaForni Pizza oven. The rotating Italian oven cooks with both gas and wood and produces thin, perfectly crisp pizzas topped with everything from eggplant and zucchini to mixed seafood and salami. Seafood entrees, pasta dishes and traditional Italian desserts also shine on Il Mascalzone’s menu.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily.
