Long a staple for Vietnamese families, pho has become popular among American diners looking for true Asian cuisine. And few places in Houston match the flavor you’ll find at Pho Binh.
Though there are a number of locations around the city now, the original Pho Binh in Chinatown offers a lively atmosphere surrounded by authentic markets and shops. When it comes to pho, it’s all about the broth, and the beef broth at Pho Binh is full-bodied and simply delicious. There is a chicken version too, but the beef is the real deal. Get it with sliced steak, brisket or meatballs. If you’re more adventurous, try it with trip, tendon and crispy fat.
Mix in your own selection of vegetables and herbs such as cilantro, bean sprouts and Sriracha sauce and you’ve got a healthy (and inexpensive) meal sure to satisfy. Don’t look for tons of options on the menu. This place does just a few things—but they do them well.
Pho Binh’s recipe has earned it multiple accolades and the favor of local foodies.
