Part grocery store, part community gathering place, the new Whole Foods Post Oak (located in the Uptown/Galleria area) is a foodie wonderland. From mountains of fresh, organic produce to the first-ever in-store brewery—the chain’s new Houston store is turning out to be a crowd pleaser.
The 55,000-square-foot space makes room for a pizzeria, juice bar, sushi station, smokehouse, taco shop and Mediterranean grill. Shoppers are also drawn to the store’s Allegro Espresso Bar for their morning jolt or languorous evening sip with friends.
In keeping with Whole Foods corporate mission, the Post Oak store is also quite environmentally friendly. LED lighting is used throughout the store, which supplies some of its own power through solar panels. Two electric car-charging stations are in the parking lot and a giant cistern collects rainwater from the roof to irrigate the abundance of plants around the property.
