Latin GRAMMY® Kick-Off Events: Music in the Parks Concert Series – (FREE) Houston es Musica, in cooperation with the Mayor's Office of Special Events, will produce a series of four concerts to bring Latin music to the city's diverse communities at city parks in the Greater Houston area. *Kick-Off Concert at City Hall – Thursday, Oct. 9 Join Houston's civic and arts leaders as the Houston es Musica Official Host Committee officially kicks off the road to the Latin GRAMMY® Awards in true Houston-style. Person of the Year Award – Wednesday, Nov. 12 GRAMMY®- and Latin GRAMMY® -winning international superstar Gloria Estefan will be honored as the 2008 Latin Recording Academy® Person of the Year at a star-studded concert and tribute dinner at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. Latin GRAMMY® Awards Night – Thursday, Nov. 13 The 9th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards will be held at Toyota Center and will air live on the Univision Television Network on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. Central. Latin GRAMMY® Awards Ticket Information: The Latin Recording Academy® and the Univision Television Network are once again inviting Latin music fans to experience the 9th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards in person by making a limited number of tickets available to the public for the annual telecast. Tickets to the 9th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards will go on sale Tuesday, September 16 at 10 a.m. Central and may be purchased at select Houston area Randall’s locations, via phone by dialing 1-866-4HOUTIX (1-866-446-8849), or via the internet at www.toyotacentertix.com .
