Twenty-one conventions, trade shows, events and other meetings, booked by the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau (GHCVB), will be held in Houston for the month of October. ISA, The Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society –ISA Annual EXPO
The Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society’s (ISA) 2008 Annual EXPO will be held Oct. 14-16 at Reliant Park. Management, engineering, production, IT and R&D professionals responsible for automation and control systems will attend EXPO to see the latest developments, advancements, practices and products in automation and control. Organized around six core themes, EXPO provides attendees with a content-rich environment that offers unlimited opportunity for exploration of key technologies, professional growth and interaction with like-minded professionals. Comprehensive coverage of automation and control technologies and techniques will be offered to delegates in technical sessions, “open to all” events like the X-Pod briefings and keynote presentations, as well as the exhibition. Attendees will hear solutions, ideas and real world applications that have helped others conquer their automation and control challenges, and get the chance to discuss with those who have done it, how to improve efficiency, production and profitability – and see the products and services that make it all happen. Attendees will also get to exchange knowledge and ideas with industry leaders -those who write the standards, author technical books and reports, and otherwise shape automation and control. More than 12,000 delegates are anticipated, which will bring an estimated $11.6 million to the local economy.
