In May 2008, CityPass executives took a chance on Houston. After launching successful attractions programs in tried-and-true tourist destinations like New York, Chicago and Southern California, they placed their bets on the nation's fourth largest city--still unfamiliar to so many leisure travelers around the country.

The bet paid off, and Houston has sold 22,697 CityPasses since last May, which confirms the success of the program and guarantees its longevity.

"Houston is one of the strongest starts of any city we've opened," said Mike Gallagher, president and co-founder of CityPass. "Our hats are off to the great state of Texas for embracing our simple concept -- see great places and save time and money in Houston. The hotel community is making it so easy to enjoy a getaway to Houston, with a superb choice of accommodations plus a CityPass once visitors step outside."
