The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ is the heartbeat of the Southwest, beating powerfully with approximately 18,000 volunteers and more than one million visitors each year. In 2007, the Show marked its 75th anniversary of the Show and still remains the world’s largest livestock exhibition, world’s largest rodeo and premier entertainment event. For three weeks in March, the Houston Livestock ShowTM will fill Reliant Center and Reliant Arena with world-class livestock exhibitors bringing their best stock for evaluation by professional judges. The kickoff for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ is the Rodeo Parade, after trail riders ride into town and set up camp in Memorial Park. All 20 championship rodeo competitions are concluded with entertainment by music superstars.
