One of the original six wards of Houston, Third Ward is rich in culture and history. The Third Ward is situated just inside the 610 Loop southeast of Downtown and to the east of the Texas Medical Center. Here you'll find unique restaurants such as Frenchy's Chicken and Banh Mi Hoang as well as one-of-a-kind destinations like the American Cowboy Museum and Orange Show Monument. Third Ward is also adjacent to William P. Hobby Airport, one of the city's two passenger airports. Near Hobby, you'll find a number of hotels and the historic 1940 Air Terminal Museum.
