Opera in the Heights is a non-profit, professional, regional opera company offering quality opera and concert performances in an intimate setting.

Opera in the Heights was born in 1996 when a group of cultural arts leaders discussed the possibility of forming an opera company in the Houston Heights neighborhood. They decided the opera company would be both for the community and for emerging opera singers. Lambert Hall, a beautiful structure that resembles a small European opera house, was selected as the home of Opera in the Heights. It seats only 300 people.

Opera in the Heights maintains a regular performance schedule of four productions a season, with six performances per production.
