Luling City Market was founded in 1981 in Houston, Texas in an attempt to bring the distinct Central Texas barbecue style to the city. They cook their meat over Post Oak wood in specially designed pits. No gas is used for cooking meat. All of the smoke flavor and the distinctive smoke rings are genuine. In addition, Luling City Market has made its own 100% beef sausage using the same recipe for over 20 years.

Luling City Market grills fresh meat--from brisket, chicken, turkey and pork ribs to home made sausage links--seven days a week. But it's not all about barbecue. Their experienced, long-time employees make delicious cole slaw, potato salad and pinto beans along with individual pecan pies and Texas-size brownies.
