The nine counties that make up the Greater Houston region represent the fifth-largest metropolitan area in the country. Communities including The Woodlands, Katy, Clear Lake, Pearland, Sugar Land and more make up Greater Houston, which has a population of more than 6.5 million residents. The region encompasses more than 10,000 square miles, a land area slightly smaller than the state of Massachusetts.
With that kind of expansive landscape, no wonder the area offers an abundance of great experiences, from eclectic dining and off-the-trail attractions to cultural outposts and untamed wilderness.
