Museum District Restaurants

With so much to do in the Museum District, you’re bound to get hungry. If you’re looking for casual grub, head to Bodegas Taco Shop for reasonably priced Tex Mex and a convenient location among Houston’s top museums, or stop by Green Seed Vegan for smoothies, sandwiches and other healthy vegan fare. At the newly opened Café Leonelli, located in the Museum of Fine Arts Nancy and Rich Kinder Building, you’ll find coffee, pastries, sandwiches, soups and Italian fare by chef Jonathan Benno.

For some visitors, food is the destination. The chef’s table at MF Sushi is an experience on its own. Chef Chris Kinjo will treat you to artfully prepared sushi made with the highest quality ingredients. Back at the Museum of Fine Arts, the recently opened Le Jardinier offers diners an upscale dining experience based on seasonality and French culinary techniques. And at Lucille’s, chef Chris Williams puts a modern spin on Southern classics, such as biscuits and fried green tomatoes, that will make you feel right at home.
