Trattoria Sofia
This cozy spot decks the halls every year with ample Christmas greenery and pasta dishes that taste like the joy you feel on Christmas morning. Carolers spread Christmas cheer from 8 - 9 p.m. daily, and this precious dining establishment also offers Christmas Eve brunch and dinner. In addition to pasta, the bruschetta options, pizza selections and antipasta dishes leave guests feeling satisfied and ready to tackle Christmas shopping or Christmas Day!
Bludorn
A more recent Houston staple, Bludown serves French-inspired cuisine and is decorated charmingly to enchant holiday guests. Your mind will continue to be blown once you start ordering plates of food. Oysters Everyway, quite literally, seafood towers and beef tartare are fabulous starters and can be followed by branzino, a Niman Ranch pork chop or a variety of steaks. They also offer prime rib on Wednesdays.
Rainbow Lodge
Looking to celebrate the holidays in a cabin? Rainbow Lodge, a restaurant in a 100-year-old cabin, has been a Houston favorite since 1977 and serves up wild game in all sorts of creative ways. It’s a lovely, cozy spot for a warm, comforting meal in a decked out cabin. Don’t fret if you aren’t an adventurous eater, steaks and seafood are also on the menu as well as delightful cocktails, champagne, beer and wine. Celebrate Christmas Eve at Rainbow Lodge with brunch from 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. or dinner from 5-9 p.m.
POST Houston
POST Houton knows their Christmas lights, and guests looking for some holiday cheer will undoubtedly find it here. Walk around and enjoy the sights, but be sure to stop in to one of the delightful restaurants for something to eat or drink. There are also plenty of places to shop and explore the culture and music of H-Town.
Johnny’s Gold Brick
Just need a holiday beverage? Johnny’s Gold Brick in the Heights serves Christmas cocktails all season long. Decor-wise, they also go all out, which includes, but is not limited to, a light up Santa head. Stop in before or after dinner, but be sure and try to get a reservation. This is a hot spot, especially this time of year.
Winnie’s
Winnie’s in Midtown is ready to holiday party! Known for their happy hours, oysters and craft cocktails, Winnie’s pulls out all the stops when it comes to Christmas.
