Phenomenal Pearls Educational and Charitable Foundation (PPECF) and the 100 Black Men Houston Metropolitan Chapter announce the 3rd Annual Men Who Cook event. The annual chef competition takes place on Sunday, October 14 at Texas Southern University Student Life Center, 3347 Blodgett St., Houston, Texas 77004. This year more than 30 local chefs will prepare their best entrees, appetizers, side dishes and desserts for guests to sample. Ticket prices start at $25 for adults, $10 for students and children (3-18 years old). Kids 2 and under get in free. VIP ticket prices are $65 and include unlimited tastings. Group ticket prices are $85 for a group of four. Additional meal sample tickets can be purchased at the event. Vendor booth space is available for $100 per table. “We are looking for chefs to showcase the very best of their culinary skills which will delight the palette of our guest,” said Angela Knight, Event Chair. Guests will be able to purchase a Men Who Cook Cookbook for $20 filled with some of the participant’s favorite recipes.
