Houston Southeast joins District D Council Member Dwight Boykins in celebrating the 3rd Annual Tree Lighting and Kwanzaa Celebration on Almeda to be held on December 10th from 4pm - 8pm. This is a free, family-fun community event to kickoff the holiday season.
Twenty small business vendors from Houston Southeast will be onsite to sell their local treasures. Houston Southeast very own Kaffeine Coffee, Melodrama and Simply Scents will have their doors open to share in the festivities.
The holiday spectacular will include a kid's zone with rock climbing, ice skating, face painting and a special appearance from Disney's Frozen characters, African performances provided by S.H.A.P.E. Community Center, fireworks, a tree lighting ceremony led by Santa Claus and so much more.
