Deck the halls with boughs of holly – and mark your calendars for the Montgomery County Choral Society’s 45th annual holiday concert. “A Christmas Celebration” is slated for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at First United Methodist Church, 4308 W. Davis St. in Conroe.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $5 for students. There is no charge for children 5 and under. The centerpiece of the concert, “Trinity Te Deum,” is an early Christian hymn of praise reimagined by Latvian composer Eriks Esenvalds. Joining the Choral Society on stage will be the Symphonic Women’s Choir from Robert P. Brabham Middle School in Willis, accompanied by brass, harp, percussion and organ.
Also appearing with the Society will be the Woodlands Boys Choir, a group of young men ages 7-14, which share their joyful noise with many performances throughout The Woodlands area. This project is supported by funds from the City of Conroe Council on Arts & Culture and ExxonMobil. For more information about the MCCS and to learn of upcoming events, visit mcchoral.org.
