Banned Together: A Censorship Cabaret is presented by the Dramatist Legal Defense Fund, in conjunction with Queensbury Theatre and the Tribble School for the Performing Arts, Banned Together is a celebration of songs and scenes from show that have been censored or challenged on America's stages. This event was created to raise awareness around issues of censorship and free expression in the theatre. The performance will feature selections from Cabaret; Chicago; Rent; Fun Home; Almost Maine; and Angels in America among other notable works. Banned Together: A Censorship Cabaret will be presented in 17 Cities as a part of Banned Book Week, (Sept. 24-30), the annual celebration of the freedom to read.
