The Allen Parkway Corridor’s Regent Square development and Montrose’s CRAFT Salon celebrate Pride with a special edition of the Cinematic Throwback series at The Parkway, an outdoor activity and event site at the corner of Allen Parkway and Dunlavy, across from Buffalo Bayou Park and The Villas at River Oaks.
The Parkway’s third Thursday Cinematic Throwback series let’s its hair down for a special June screening of Wigstock: The Movie, a 1995 documentary spotlighting the pioneering annual drag music festival that brought a diversity of talent and a cast of colorful characters to New York City's East Village in the 1980s and 90s.
CRAFT Salon will add to the fun and festivities with dazzling wigs for dress up and selfies with Stevie The Photo Bus. The first 75 guests will receive $50 gift cards from new luxury ride service Alto. Concessions will be sold by Bovine & Barley’s Adult Ice Cream Truck. Proceeds from a ticket raffle for CRAFT Salon and Postino Wine Café gfit cards will benefit Avenue 360, a Federally Qualified Health Center with seven clinics in the Houston region providing primary, behavioral health, and dental care to medically underserved communities
