Russian Cultural Center “Our Texas” presents an art exhibit “City Kaleidoscope” by Irene Sheytman and Saida Fagala. Both artists originally are from Baku, Azerbaijan, and currently live in Houston.

Opening Reception and a meeting with artists: Friday, February 3, 2017, 7:30p.m. Irene Sheytman has been painting since her childhood. She has always been interested in her urban surroundings. This is why the city landscape became her favorite theme. Irene has been very inspired by old European cities. She works with different media; her favorite are silk and water color. Irene Sheytman had participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Moscow, Russia, and in Houston. This exhibit shows her watercolors created in Italy.

Saida Fagala had been born in a family of the talented artists. Saida’s path in the fine arts has led her to the unique expression of mood and color through numerous forms of crafts (ceramic, pottery) and painting in watercolor and ink. Saida Fagala has actively exhibited her works at various galleries and shows: Anya Tish Gallery, Rouge Art by Karine, Foelber Pottery Gallery, Houston Center for Contemporary Crafts, Winter Street Studios show, Watson Gallery Shows and others. The exhibit presents her ceramics portraits.
