Houston Ballet is thrilled to bring back a the classic comic ballet Coppelia. This adventure of a young girl Swanhilda is chock full of beautiful dancing, costumes and sets. Monica Gomez, soloist, will dance the lead role. Monica Gomez was born in La Havana, Cuba and received her training at the National Ballet of Cuba. She joined the Houston Ballet in 2015 and was promoted to Soloist in 2017. Also in the performance will be Latino artists Samuel Rodriguez, Adrian Masvidal, Fernando Martin-Gullans and Estheysis Menendez.Part of Latino Art Now! and the Spring of Latino Art.
