This spectac-LUNAR evening features the classic "Dark Side of the Moon" show in the Burke Baker Planetarium and screening of "Earthrise, The Image that Shared Our World" documenting the Apollo 8 crew emerging from the dark side of the moon to see the Earth rising before them over the lunar horizon in 1968. The three-man crew--Frank Borman, Bill Anders and James Lovell--the first humans to escape Earth's orbit and are featured in the film.Lunar photo ops and activities can be enjoyed under the giant Moon in the exhibition halls. Also available is a VR Destination: Moon. This evening, two parts science and one part lunacy, is hosted by Dr. Carolyn Sumners, HMNS VP of Astronomy.Dark Side of the Moon: 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.Earthrise, The Image that Shared Our World: 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Lunacy Activities: 7 - 10 p.m.
