Exhibition by artist-ceramist Yulia Drozdova. Opening and the meeting with the artist: Friday, September 15, 7:30p.m.
Drozdova’s talent manifests in her intricately painted and immaculately crafted plates. Her designs contain a wealth of spiritual and psychological symbolism that stems from the ancient tradition of mandala, a Sanskrit term used to describe geometric patterns that represent the cosmos. Rather than simply follow the exact style and procedures of mandala, she injects her own unique patterns and, therefore, her own life experiences. Each color, line, and number is laden with meaning that appeals to the universal nature of experience. The gallery's hours:Monday-Friday 8:30a.m. - 5:00p.m.Saturday 11:00a.m. - 3:00p.m.
