Houston’s first monthly outdoor fine art event will be open evenings this summer. Founded in 2004, First Saturday Arts Market features the works of dozens of visual artists who offer their paintings, sculpture, photography, jewelry and many other mediums under dozens of tents. The entire family is welcome to come enjoy the great outdoors, live music and delicious fare from some of the area’s best gourmet food trucks. Open year-round on the first Saturday of each month, the market is open from 6 - 10 p.m. June 1, July 6 and August 3. Find the artists on the street in front of the shops on 19th St. August 3rd for the annual White Linen Night in the Heights. September through May the market returns to day hours 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. The market is located at 530 W. 19th St. More information is available on the website.
