When it opened on Broadway, Godspell took the world by storm and has inspired thousands of audiences. Now updated with new lyrics and contemporary references, the musical is based on Jesus' last days as told in the Gospel of Matthew. This spirited production features an energetic cast and a variety of musical styles that let today's audiences experience the dramatic events leading up toward the crucifixion and resurrection.


This reivial of the 1970's Broadway hit Godspell was conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak with music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. It is appropirate for all ages.


This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30 AM-1:00 PM. If tickets remain at 1:00 PM, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill. The shows goes on rain or shine.
