The presentation showcases more than 60 personal artifacts survivors of the Holocaust and other genocides brought to America. The event will give you a chance to explore the relationship between objects, their meaning to the original owner, and subsequent significance. Each artifact will be paired with oversized photographs and handwritten responses by Survivors or their family members. The objects include a baby doll, a black suitcase, a young mother’s cook-book, and a wedding announcement. These are survivors from genocides worldwide, including Armenia, Bosnia, Cambodia, Iraq, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Syria.
