Now in its fifth year, the Houston Barbecue Festival will continue to showcase the best that Houston barbecue has to offer to a growing and diverse audience of barbecue lovers."Houston continues to be the hottest barbecue market in Texas,' says J.C. (Chris) Reid, festival co-founder and Houston Chronicle barbecue columnist."We expect to see a lot of Houston-inspired dishes this year along with the Texas trinity of brisket, ribs and sausage."This year's festival will feature most, if not all, of last year's list of the who's who of Houston's best barbecue.

The event will happen rain or shine. Contingency plans will be in place in case of inclement weather.
