Houston First presents the city’s third annual Houston Urban Experience (HUE) Mural Festival, celebrating Houston’s diverse arts community. The festival will feature artists locally and from around the world, transforming Houston’s cityscape from concrete to color.
Artists will have approximately 190 hours to create their designs using various forms of tools, techniques and styles of mural art including graffiti, muralism, paint brush work, airbrush, roller brush, wheat paste and stencil. With the assistance of nearly several volunteers in the community, the event will broaden its scope of festivities, guided tours and and community programs.
Festival goers are encouraged to experience the art-in-progress through either daily guided or self-guided tours, utilizing the printed map and brochure. Throughout the festival, visitors can also enjoy artist vendors, live demos, mural tours and tastes of official festival beer at select locations and more.
The HUE Mural Festival runs from Nov. 18 - 25. For more information about the festival, visit the HUE Fest calendar.
