Juneteenth Celebration at Redemption Square

Generation Park is hosting its 1st annual Juneteenth Celebration at Redemption Square in partnership with Harris County Cultural Arts Council. All of Lake Houston and the surrounding area is invited to enjoy a day of fun, history and entertainment for the entire family. This free celebration commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the contributions of African Americans to American music, food, art, business, and culture. Enjoy a market with local minority owned vendors, live music expanding many genres, speeches from elected officials, and visual & performing art all day long from the pavilion at Redemption Square. In addition to a selection of food trucks, the restaurants at Redemption Square are open! Come and enjoy Vietnamese cuisine from Bibo’s Bistro & Bar, Italian inspired fare from Bocca Italian Kitchen, and coffee and pastries from Lupo Caffe. Don’t forget the kids! The Kids Zone bought to us by HEB, will feature face painters, balloon artists, crafts and more.
