ABOUT THIS CONCERT

Concertmaster Yoonshin Song leads a livestream performance of Bach’s beloved Brandenburg Concerto No. 1, alongside sparkling music of trailblazing composer Florence Price. Written for an ensemble of flute, horn, trumpet, trombone, and piano, Janáček’s vibrant Capriccio dances with dark humor and bursts with virtuoso fireworks.

Program:

PRICE "Andante moderato" from String Quartet in G Major
JANÁČEK Capriccio for Piano and Chamber Ensemble
J. S. BACH Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 in F major
J.S. BACH Cantata for Trumpet and Strings, “Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring”
