Let’s get real. Does any author actually LIKE social media and digital marketing? Isn’t it just “that wretched thing we have to do” between writing our books? What if it didn’t have to be such a chore? This isn’t your typical author marketing class. There is no “one right way to do it” when we write, so why should we believe there is a secret formula for success when it comes to promoting our work? This workshop is not about ads, formulas, funnels, or tactics to grow your newsletter list or puff up your social media follower count. It’s about translating your creativity into poignant, powerful messages to reach the right kind of readers, then designing and executing strategies to keep them engaged with your work. For three hours, we will shine a light on your work, develop your unique voice on social media, and make the marketing of your book as joyful and fulfilling as the process of writing it. As we start the new year, let’s resolve to look at social media marketing through new eyes—finding ways to make it an extension of our storytelling.
