“Murder at the Tonylou Awards” will take the stage for the next production of Old West Melodrama. The play, produced by special arrangement with Tonylou Productions in Blooming Grove Pennsylvania, will open Friday, Oct. 1. Performances continue Friday and Saturday evenings through Saturday, Oct. 16. The show will be held at Puffabelly’s Depot Restaurant, 100 Main St. in Spring, with dinner and a pre-show starting at 7 p.m. Purchasing dinner is required to attend the show. The melodrama begins at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $14 to $20 per person. The story centers on one magical night –the Tonylou Awards. “It’s the night we’ve all been waiting for – and you’re one of the lucky ones to snag a ticket,” producer Jeannine Cole said. Celebrity gossip columnist Constance Gabbles greets each celebrity. Then T.J. Hardcastle opens the star-studded show, with guests like Lorna Lush, Monty Carlo, Celia B. De Milo, Claude-Jean, Angelina Canoli and Funky Brewster. “But guess what? Each person has a nasty secret,” Cole said. “Keep your eyes and ears open for clues – and you might just discover the truth.” At evening's end, someone will be murdered – and it’s up to the audience to guess who done it. The murder mystery is by Tony Schwartz and Marylou Ambrose.
