Russian Cultural Center cordially invites you to our traditional Russian tea party –“Chaepitie”. Although tea cultivation originated in China, Russia is a country, like England, where tea-drinking is an essential part of family life and cultural tradition. Visiting friends are always invited in for “a cuppa” – a cup of tea. The "cup of tea" is not just a tea but accompanied by lots of pastries and sweets. We will be offering an evening of “Chaepitie”, hot tea and pastries in Russian-style – provided by Kingdom Bakery and Buta Home Party.Accompanying this festive celebration is an exhibition of beautiful Russian tea sets – by the famous Imperial porcelain factories, such as Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, Dulevo porcelain factory, and others. Also on display will be Tula samovars, linen tablecloths, and much more. All items will be available for sale.
