Seasons of Sharing returns to Children's Museum Houston! With more than 100 languages spoken throughout the Houston area, many cultures from around the globe call Houston home. To celebrate our diversity, the block-long Seasons of Sharing houses include Ramadan, Diwali, Hanukkah, Las Posadas, Christmas in Norway, Kwanzaa and the Lunar New Year light the way through the holiday season.
Seasons of Sharing invites our visitors to have the unique opportunity to learn about other cultures’ celebrations, traditions, and practices while still celebrating their own. The exhibit highlights the contribution each culture makes to our community and allows guests to realize just how much more alike we are than different.
Each house represents a holiday many households around Houston and the world observe. Spot dipa lamps, menorahs, luminarias, kinaras, Christmas lights, and the crescent moon dazzling in the most diverse neighborhood in town! Step inside each home, get cozy and experience firsthand customs and traditions from other cultures.
Throughout the holiday season, the Museum will showcase different cultural organizations through hands-on activities, classical dance performances, storytelling, workshops and more!
