Tenebrae: The Passing of the Year

The Tenebrae Choir is a London-based professional vocal ensemble founded and directed by former King’s Singer Nigel Short. They’re one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles, receiving nominations for Grammy Awards, BBC Music Awards and Gramophone Awards. Known for their popular culture work as well, Tenebrae performed “So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish” in the film adaptation of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, as well as music on the soundtrack of Alfonso Cuarón’s Children of Men. The choir’s Houston debut features repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries, including works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Joanna Marsh, Benjamin Britten, Edward Elgar, and more.
