Theta Design Weekend (TDW) is back for their 65th annual shopping extravaganza at the George R. Brown Convention Center Dec. 1 -3. Kappa Alpha Theta sorority looks to create a unique and enduring non-profit legacy, and the organization has stuck to its mission of raising funds for local charities through its annual shopping event.
TDW is seeking to chart a new path forward while reaching diverse audiences across Houston and beyond. No longer a showcase solely for antiques, TDW will morph into a design centerpiece for artists and artisans, blending together a mix of classic and modern to create a unique experience for collectors. Exhibitors will travel from around the globe to showcase a broad range of offerings, including projects in the realms of art, architecture, landscaping, décor, lighting, and textiles – all of which will be offered to collectors and buyers at wide-ranging price points.
Theta Design Weekend 2017 will be chaired by the popular designer Mark Sikes and will also feature high profile speaker panels of renowned designers. TDW has also partnered with Four Seasons Hotel Houston this year as the official hospitality destination for visitors and purveyors attending the show.
TDW 2017 will kick off with a VIP champagne preview party that will cascade into a bevy of events in the days to follow with notable speaker brunches, luncheons, forums, guest panels and art walks. The $20 general admission tickets will go on sale in September and increase to $25 closer to the show’s opening day. TDW is recognized as one of the most distinguished designer showcases in the country as one of the top three shows of its kind in the South.
